STT Collection Soars by 87% in Six Months

Securities Transaction Tax (STT) collections have absolutely taken off this fiscal year, jumping 87% compared to last year. It’ve hit a whopping ₹30,630 crore. This growth is mainly thanks to more trading and a boost in stock-based derivatives. With 83% of the budget target met in just six months, expectations are high for the rest of the year.
