In light of the recent violence in Howrah, Kolkata Police have put a one-day ban on gatherings of more than five people near Red Road for the Durga Puja Carnival. This move is all about keeping everyone safe as around 100 Puja committees gear up for the festivities. To keep things in check, around 3,000 police officers will be on duty.
