BSP chief Mayawati is not holding back in calling out priest Yati Narsinghanand for his latest hate speech against Islam. She’s demanding that both the Central and State Governments take some serious action against him. His comments, made in Ghaziabad, have caused unrest not just there but all over the place!

Mayawati took to social media to share her thoughts, saying that we can’t let this kind of hate speech slide in a secular country like India. She stressed that it’s the government’s job to keep the peace and respect all religions, just like our Constitution says.

Things got heated on October 4, 2024, when a crowd showed up outside the Dasna Devi temple, where Narsinghanand is the head priest, protesting against his remarks that blew up online. This isn’t his first time causing a stir; he’s got a whole bunch of cases against him, including a notorious one from 2021.

After the protests, the police stepped up security around the temple, and they’ve taken action against about 150 people involved in the demonstrations. And it got even crazier—violent protests broke out in Maharashtra, leading to an FIR against Narsinghanand after his comments sparked chaos, injuring police and damaging vehicles.

With charges like hurting religious sentiments and threatening national unity, Narsinghanand is in some serious trouble. This whole situation raises big questions about how we keep harmony in such a diverse society. Mayawati’s call for accountability might be just what we need to remember the importance of mutual respect and peace.
