Things escalated to the point where the police had to step in. The bus crew explained to the officers that this kind of trickery was all too common at the stand, with eateries often overcharging and deceiving travelers. Despite the police’s best efforts to calm everyone down, the tension lingered.
Eventually, both the restaurant owner and the upset passenger were taken to the police station for mediation. After some back-and-forth, they managed to settle things and were released.
