Pappu Yadav, the independent MP from Purnia, Bihar, has stepped up his personal security after receiving death threats, allegedly from the dangerous Lawrence Bishnoi gang. On November 25, a close friend gave him a bulletproof Land Cruiser to help protect him. The vehicle was delivered to his office at Arjun Bhavan in Purnia late that night, and Yadav has been seen driving it since November 26.
Yadav thanked his friend for the gesture, saying, “The government may not care about my safety, but my friends and the people of Bihar and India are standing by me.” He also highlighted the car’s impressive security features, claiming it’s strong enough to withstand a rocket launcher attack.
Features of the Bulletproof Land Cruiser
The Land Cruiser gifted to Yadav is one of the safest vehicles available. It has ballistic glass made from a mix of lead and polycarbonate, which can survive up to 500 rounds of bullets. The car’s body is reinforced with special materials to resist explosions, and its tires are designed to keep working even if they’re shot at.
Heightened Security Amid Threats
Yadav has been on high alert ever since receiving threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, especially after the recent murder of NCP leader Baba Siddiqui in Mumbai. The gang has reportedly threatened to bomb his house in Purnia. In response, Yadav has taken extra security measures, including installing a special door to detect weapons and tightening screening protocols to keep unauthorized people out of his property.
