The Punjab Police, working with their counterparts in Maharashtra, have arrested Akash Gill, a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, in connection with the murder of Baba Siddique. Gill was arrested in Fazilka, Punjab, following a joint operation by the Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) and Mumbai Crime Branch. According to Gaurav Yadav, the Director General of Police in Punjab, the initial investigation revealed that Gill helped the shooters who killed the NCP leader.
Baba Siddique, 66, was shot and killed on October 12 outside his son MLA Zeeshan Siddique’s office in Mumbai. The murder is being investigated by local police, who are working closely with Mumbai authorities.
