Hey everyone! The Nepal government is putting a hold on all exams and shutting down schools for the next three days to keep students safe from the heavy rains causing a lot of trouble. This came up in an emergency cabinet meeting because of the nonstop storms hitting different areas.

Education Minister Bidhya Bhattarai said that the main concern is the safety of students, especially those trying to get through disaster-hit zones. Classes from lower secondary to higher secondary are officially paused until at least Tuesday.

The Ministry of Education has given local authorities the go-ahead to check things out and figure out when it’s safe to start classes again. They’re also working on a new schedule for the postponed exams. Unfortunately, the storms have been really devastating, with 66 lives lost in just a day. Let’s hope things clear up soon!
