Movie Buzz

Get excited, movie lovers! “Gangs Of Wasseypur,” Anurag Kashyap’s epic tale, is hitting the big screen again starting August 30. If you missed it before or just want to see it again, you can catch both parts at a discount in 33 Miraj Cinemas across the country. Social media is buzzing about this re-release!

When it first came out in 2012, the CBFC wasn’t too happy with some parts. They made cuts to tone down the harsh language and violence. For example, the line ‘Hum iski maiyaa c**d denge’ was changed to ‘Kaat ke rakh denge saale ko,’ and ‘Bengali log’ was changed to ‘Kuch log.’ They also added a big disclaimer saying that while the film is based on real events, it’s fictional and wasn’t actually filmed in Wasseypur.

The story dives into the intense saga of Sardar Khan’s revenge quest in Part 1 and his son Faizal Khan’s continuation of the feud in Part 2. With stars like Manoj Bajpayee, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, and Richa Chadha, this re-release is a great chance to revisit a modern classic.
