Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd. has announced plans to grow its network by adding over 3,500 beds across 11 locations by FY26, with an investment of ₹6,100 crore. Currently, they have 2,877 operational beds. This expansion will include new projects as well as upgrades to existing facilities.

Of the total investment, ₹1,700 crore is designated for land acquisition and initial project work. The remaining ₹4,400 crore will come from existing funds and internal savings.

Key Facilities

New hospitals will be built in major cities like Mumbai, Chennai, Gurgaon, Varanasi, and Lucknow. Recently, Apollo Hospitals signed a deal to construct a 500-bed hospital in Worli, Mumbai, with an investment of ₹1,300 crore. This facility is expected to open in four years and will provide advanced diagnostics and surgical care, including robotic surgery, along with specialized treatments in various medical areas.

The organization aims to deliver world-class care at costs estimated to be about one-tenth of what’s charged internationally. Apollo currently runs a multispecialty hospital in Navi Mumbai and has a wide clinic network in Maharashtra.

Lucknow Expansion

Alongside the Mumbai project, Apollo is also expanding its Lucknow facility by adding 200 beds, bringing the total to 500. This expansion will cost ₹325 crore and is expected to be finished in three years.

Suneeta Reddy, Managing Director of Apollo Hospitals, emphasized that these expansions are important for making high-quality healthcare more accessible across India, especially in response to the rising demand for better healthcare services.
