Amazon India has introduced ‘Creator Central,’ a new feature aimed at helping content creators by making it easier to manage their content. This platform is designed for influencers, offering a simple way to create, upload, and schedule videos, photos, and product lists directly through the Amazon app. Along with content management, Creator Central provides personalized product recommendations based on audience data and detailed analytics to track earnings and performance in real time.
The platform will support over 50,000 creators through Amazon’s influencer programme, allowing them to manage multiple storefronts and collaborate with other users. Creator Central also connects with Creator University, an educational platform launched earlier this year to help creators improve their skills in the growing content industry. This move is part of Amazon’s ongoing effort to better support creators, including initiatives like Amazon Live and higher commission rates for influencers in popular product categories.
Besides Creator Central, Amazon India continues to expand its infrastructure. The company recently opened three new fulfillment centres in Delhi NCR, Guwahati, and Patna. It also announced over 110,000 seasonal job opportunities in India to meet the increasing demand during the festive season. Looking ahead, Amazon is planning to launch a standalone app for its payment services and roll out quick commerce services in India by early 2025. Meanwhile, its logistics arm, Amazon Transportation Services (ATS), saw a 7.6% increase in revenue, and Amazon Wholesale India reduced its losses by 34% in FY24.
