Curefoods, a popular food and beverage brand house, has officially taken over Krispy Kreme’s South and West India operations from Landmark Group. As part of this deal, Landmark Hospitality Services will hold a stake in Curefoods India. The South Indian operations, which were previously managed by Landmark Group, include around 50 Krispy Kreme locations in the region. By acquiring these operations, Curefoods plans to leverage Krispy Kreme’s established network and customer base to boost its growth in the market.
This acquisition is seen as a key move for Curefoods to expand its brand offerings and strengthen its position in India’s rapidly growing food service industry. Along with the acquisition, Curefoods has signed a multi-year franchising deal with Krispy Kreme Doughnut Corporation. This agreement lays out plans to open over 350 Krispy Kreme outlets across India within the next five years, further increasing the brand’s presence in the country.
Ankit Nagori, Founder of Curefoods, shared his enthusiasm for the acquisition, pointing out that Krispy Kreme’s global reputation and strong customer appeal match Curefoods’ mission of providing diverse and high-quality food experiences. He also noted that this move demonstrates Curefoods’ commitment to expanding beyond its cloud kitchen business and investing in beloved brands to strengthen its presence in India.
With the integration of Krispy Kreme into its portfolio, Curefoods plans to expand the brand’s reach into new regions and make its famous doughnuts more accessible in major Indian cities. K A Madappa, President of Citymax Hotels Pvt Ltd & Business Head of Krispy Kreme, expressed confidence in the future of the brand under Curefoods’ leadership and highlighted the potential for Krispy Kreme’s doughnuts to become even more popular across India.
Metta Capital advised Landmark Group during the transaction. Founded in 2020 by Ankit Nagori, Curefoods operates brands such as EatFit, Cakezone, Nomad Pizza, Sharief Bhai Biryani, and Frozen Bottle. The company runs over 500 cloud kitchens and physical stores, offering more than 10 different cuisines in 40 cities across India.
