Bollineni Rajgopal Naidu will take on the role of Chairman of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) on November 6. He responded to AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi’s comments that compared the temple board to the waqf board, asserting that “the waqf board is a real estate company.” Naidu rejected Owaisi’s statement and stressed that only Hindus should work at the temple.
Addressing recent worries about the quality of offerings, Naidu reassured the public about the integrity of products like ghee and laddu. “Everything is good now, and I can assure you of that for now,” he stated.
Naidu expressed his support for Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan’s proposal to create a Sanatana Dharma Board, agreeing with its principles. He also addressed the spread of misinformation on social media about the TTD, stating that fake news is unacceptable. The TTD has a vigilance commission to investigate any issues, and Naidu promised strict actions against those spreading harmful propaganda.
On October 30, the Andhra Pradesh government appointed Naidu as the chairman of the newly formed 24-member TTD board. TTD is in charge of managing the Tirumala Hills, home to the world’s richest Hindu temple.
