Looma News

Adani Foundation have donated Rs 100 crore to the Telangana government for a new skills university aimed at ramping up job-ready skills among the youth. But not everyone’s on board with this generous gesture.

The opposition, especially the BJP and Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), are calling out Congress for what they see as “double-talk.” The criticism highlights the contradiction of Congress opposing the Adani Group vocally while accepting this major donation. BJP’s Amit Malviya took to social media, pointing out how Congress leaders like Rahul Gandhi rant about Adani while their Chief Minister seems chummy with him.

Political Backlash

BRS leader KT Rama Rao joined in on the fun, mocking Congress’s mixed messages with a clever play on words. He noted that while Congress’s national leaders criticize the “Modani” partnership, their state leaders appear to be collaborating with Adani, he even coined a term, “Revdani.”

Just days before this donation, Congress accused the Mahayuti government of striking a “rigged deal” with Adani for a massive power supply to Maharashtra, ramping up the heat ahead of the Assembly elections. With all this political drama, it’s clear that this donation could have a lot more impact than just helping Telangana’s youth.
