It was a bit of a nail-biter on Friday morning when an Air India Express flight to Muscat had to slam on the brakes just before take-off at Thiruvananthapuram International Airport. Around 10:30 a.m., the pilot caught some smoke while taxiing and decided it was best to turn back.
Thankfully, with 142 people on board, everyone got off without a hitch and headed back to the terminal. The plane was moved to a remote spot so the engineering team could check things out.
What’s Next?
Now, the big question is whether the plane can be cleared to fly again after the inspections. If all goes well, they hope to get back in the air soon. If not, they’re all set to arrange a different flight to Muscat. Fingers crossed for a quick fix.
